Grant Hardy

B.A. in Ancient Greek from Brigham Young University
Two years in Taiwan as a Mormon missionary
Ph.D. from Yale in Chinese Language and Literature
Taught Chinese history at BYU and Elmira College (New York) until coming to the University of North Carolina at Asheville in 1994, where I teach Asian history, world history, and humanities.
I've written several books and have taught a few thousand students.
Currently working on a DVD/CD lecture series for The Teaching Company entitled "Great Minds of the Eastern Intellectual Tradition"
